How to Make the Most of Your Closet

The hardest part about being an adult is having to wake up in the morning and throw on your uncomfortable work clothes, when you want to lounge in your pjs! Although this is annoying, there's hope. There are many ways to elevate your closet by dressing up the clothes you wear on your day for work. Here are some tips that might help you not want to hit the snooze button as many times when your alarm goes off:

Tip # 1: Little Things Matter
Changing the little things is the best advise I can give. By this I mean just by changing a shirt and and shoes you can go from casual to dressed up.

Here I am wearing a plain white T with super stretchy striped jeans with white flats, it's the perfect outfit for running errands. On the right I swapped the white T with a long button down shirt and wedges, and, of course, added a hat to accessorize.

Tip # 2: Layering Pieces
The best way to ensure that you are elevating your look is by adding in items you can layer. Don't just wear your rock t-shirt, add a blazer!

On the left I am wearing my favorite oversized distressed t-shirt with a crochet duster, jeggings and booties. I elevated my look by swapping my duster for a blazer, added heels and a hat, and I'm ready for work!

Tip # 3: Makeup
Let's be honest, when it's 8:30am and you need to leave for work by 8:45, who has time for makeup? I'm always running late for work   and don't have time to do a full face, so I have a few makeup essentials that are fast, and help me look awake since there's no time for coffee:

I'm a laid back girl who won't spend more than 15 minutes on her makeup unless there is a special event I am attending. Lips, brows, eyes, and cheeks are my every day look, that help me appear like I've had 3 cups of coffee. In the picture above I did my brows, lashes, eyeliner, blush, and lipstick/ lipliner, and I look like I've had more than 4 hours of sleep.
