Most Instagrammable Restaurants in Nashville

Written By: Tiffany Anderson

The Back Story

Recently I went on a trip to Nashville, and it felt like most of the things I wanted to do there had to do with food. Throughout the trip, I noticed my favorite places to eat were the places that had a cool atmosphere. I was inspired to write about the places that not only have the best food (because there are a lot of great restaurants in Nashville), but had the most Instagrammable food and atmosphere.

Top 8 Instagrammable Places to Eat (and Drink) in Nashville

8. Barista Parlor

Located in a renovated garage, at least at the East Nashville location, Barista Parlor is a spunky gourmet coffee shop. The inside is wide and spacious, with exposed ceilings, long wooden tables, hanging lights, and, last but not least, motorcycles. The inside is very eclectic, featuring different art along the walls, as well as plants. The whole place is very Instagram worthy, and has a vintagey feel to it. Of course, the coffee was phenomenal, as well. I suggest their Mocha or if you want something more sweet, their Bourbon Vanilla latte.

7. Two Boots Pizza

If you are looking for a cheap, delicious place to eat in Nashville, then look no further! Two Boots sells gigantic slices of pizza by the slice. For only $4, you can enjoy a pizza slice the slice of your head. The interior (and exterior) of their restaurant is painted with different, colorful murals. They also have cool paper lanterns strung up inside as lights. The atmosphere is very relaxed and chill, with classic songs playing.

6. Five Daughter's Bakery

I can't mention Instagram worthy food locations without mentioning Five Daughter's Bakery. They are a local Nashville bakery chain known for their 100 Layer Doughnuts (also known at other places as a Cronut). All of their locations are bright white with pink accents (including the bathrooms), and have a pink neon "FIVE DAUGHTER'S BAKERY" sign. Their doughnuts are as pretty as their store as well! I got a Cowboy Cookie 100 layer doughnut with chocolate, cookie pieces, and pretzel pieces on top, which was delicious.

5. Biscuit Love
Biscuit Love is one (of many) places with a line always out the door - and for good reason. They are a well known brunch spot, serving a variety of breakfast options, breakfast cocktails, coffees, and of course biscuits. They are most well known for their "Bonut;" a doughnut made out of biscuit dough, served with a lemon frosting and blueberries, which was as pretty to look at as it was to eat. The inside of Biscuit Love is open and spacious, with huge (and highly Instagrammable) light up "Nashville"sign running the length of the restaurant.

4. Jeni's Splendid Ice Cream
Jeni's is one of many dessert chains started in Nashville that has spread along to different places in the U.S. and for good reason! All of their ice creams are made with fresh flavors and no synthetics, and have a smooth, rich flavor. Their menu looks like it's handwritten in chalk on a blackboard, and the whole place was very homey.  Their stores are done in white and black with pops of color (usually from colorful string lights hanging from the ceiling.) The ice cream is probably even more Instagram worthy than their store!  Whenever someone orders ice cream off the cone, they still get a bit of waffle cone on the side, artfully arrange with their ice cream. The good news is that they have a St. Louis location for all my fellow UCM students.

3. No Baked Cookie Dough

If you couldn't tell by now, I am a very big sweets fan, and No Baked Cookie Dough did not disappoint! Be warned, the shop seems like a normal house on the outside. I literally stumbled upon it and decided to go in. I am glad I did. Walking in, the interior is very aesthetically pleasing (they have a cool neon "don't mind if I dough sign" and a cute little bench area with a "Nashville" sign over it). They encourage people to post about their store on Instagram with the hashtag #dontmindifIdough. As the name would imply, they serve cookie dough, lots of it. It's all eggless, so it is safe to eat on its own. You get scoops of cookie dough the way you would get ice cream, and there are even toppings and different kinds of cones to choose from (Nutella is my personal favorite).

2. Mas Tacos Por Favor

Looking at the outside of Mas Tacos Por Favor, one would not expect the food to be as amazing as it is. It almost looks sketchy out front, despite the fact that there is a huge, well done, "Mas Taco" mural on the outside of their building. The food is reasonably priced, delicious, and of course, Instagrammable. I got a chicken taco, a side of Elote, and a Horchata for $8. Tax is included in the price listed on their menu, though fair warning, they only take cash or check. There are accents of wood throughout the inside of the store with different pops of color (often in a cute eclectic form like an embroidery circle with a picture of tacos and the words "mas tacos por favor" embroidered on it), and a lot of decorations relating to South America.

1. Pharmacy

Pharmacy is a restaurant / beer garden that is on many people's lists of best places to eat in Nashville. Most people visit Pharmacy, not only for the food, but for their beer garden (and the drinks that come along with it). The beer garden is nice to sit outside in and has a good atmosphere. Also bonus - it's heated (for those days when its not quite warm enough to actually sit outside).  Along with their Instagrammable beer garden, Pharmancy has some very Instagrammable food, whether its a burger or a cool, unique drink. The drink I had is a coffee infused beer (in milkshake form) exclusive to Pharmacy.
