Cheap and Easy Beauty Tricks

1. No-heat waves.

We all have those days where we don't want to bother with our hair and want to just walk out the door. Well here's a trick! French braid dry or slightly damp hair at night and sleep on it. The tighter the braid, the smaller the waves - the looser the braid, the bigger the waves. In the morning, gently unbraid your hair, shake out the waves, and spray with hairspray. You'll have natural looking waves in minutes!

2. Heal a popped zit almost over-night.

Now you've done it. You've popped that pimple and almost immediately regret it. But there is hope! At night after you've washed your face, grab a band-aid and some antibiotic cream and put it on the zit. If it's one zit, one of the clear spots band-aids work the best. However, if you have a few in one area, one of the regular band-aids will work, but you may want to cut off a little of the ends so you don't cover as much skin. Be careful to not get moisturizer or water on the band-aid or it won't stay on as well. When you wake up in the morning, the zit will have diminished quite a bit and be easier to cover with makeup, After doing this for a few nights in a row, your zit should be gone with minimal or no scarring!

3. Deep clean your pores.

Baking soda is one of the world's greatest inventions. You can clean almost anything with it, and it's great for baking. What you may not know is that you can wash your face with it. Pour a small amount into the palm of your hand and add drops of water until it turns into a thick paste. Massage it on your face and neck and let it sit for a couple of minutes. This works best in the shower so that you can continue to wash other parts of your body while it cleans out your pores. If you leave it on for too long, it may start to burn. It won't hurt you, but it is unpleasant. Before you rinse it off, scrub your face a little more to exfoliate your skin and get it extra clean. Voila! You now have clean, soft skin and it only cost you pennies. Do this every night and you'll notice a huge difference in your skin.

4. Get more volume.

Instead of washing your hair shampoo first and then using conditioner, switch them! Lather your hair up with your conditioner first and leave it on for a few minutes. Then wash your wash with shampoo. The reason is that conditioner tends to weigh your hair down so it takes out some of your natural volume. By shampooing second, your wash out the excess conditioner which will lighten the weight of your hair. You'll still be left with soft, smooth hair, but now you'll have extra volume too!
